1. Information we collect
The site collects no requests or appointments for doctors; you reach doctors directly through the channels on their profile, and what you share there does not reach us. When you send the support form on the contact page or the institutions' form on the pricing page, we record what you write (your name, e-mail address, optionally your phone and country, and your message) and the IP address you send it from. If you write a review of a doctor, your display name, optionally your e-mail address, the month of your visit, your ratings, your text, your IP address, your explicit consent, and only a one-way digest and a masked form of the phone number you verified by SMS are stored; a visit document you choose to send is stored in a closed folder. Doctors and clinics give information for their accounts, profiles and documents; buyers of the doctor package for the invoice.
2. How we use your information
Your information is used to answer your message, to verify and review your review and, if you gave explicit consent, to publish it, to show you your reviews on the "My reviews" page, and to apply the SMS sending limits. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Data retention
We keep form messages and requests sent earlier for up to 3 years unless you ask us to delete them. The records of SMS codes sent are kept no longer than 90 days, visit documents' files no longer than 90 days; the details are in the KVKK notice. You can remove your reviews on the My reviews page, and ask by e-mail for your other data to be deleted.
4. Data sharing
Only our team sees the messages sent through the contact forms. An approved and published review is public, with your display name, the month of your visit, your ratings and your text; your phone number, e-mail address and documents are never published. Our service providers: Hostinger for hosting and e-mail, PayTR for the doctor package's payment, Groq (USA) for the automatic translation of doctors' profile texts (no patient data is sent); an SMS provider for phone verification (not open yet; its name appears here once chosen). The site uses no third-party analytics tool. The details are in the KVKK notice.
5. Your rights (GDPR and KVKK)
Under the GDPR and Turkish Law No. 6698 (KVKK) you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@doctorsinturkey.com.
6. Cookies
The site uses the cookies listed in the Cookie Policy: a session cookie that forms, the review form's phone verification, the "My reviews" page and the doctor, clinic and team sign-ins need, a cookie that remembers your answer to the KVKK notice, and a visitor identifier, written only if you accept the notice and stored with your IP address and browser details. Whatever your answer, daily totals that identify no one and use no cookie are kept (such as profile views, searches, doctors' cards shown in search results and clicks on contact links); no search text is stored. No advertising cookies are set. The visit records kept without consent before this choice was offered (until 18 September 2026) are still kept; see the KVKK notice.
